Over the quarantine, I took it upon myself to take an old pair of jeans that I didn’t wear and make them new. I bleached only half of the jeans using a spray bottle and let it dry. I had to go through this process three times. Then I put the jeans in the washing machine and half of the jeans ended up white. Then I looked up embroidery tutorials on youtube and learned how to embroider flowers and borrowed thread from my aunt who lives in my building. It took me about two weeks of embroidering flowers to the jeans while listening to online classes or watching Netflix. This was challenging because of how long it took to make. I began to get lazy throughout the process and wanted to give up but after a lot of work, I was able to finish it. It was nice though because it helped me concentrate to stay busy with it while listening to my classes and helped me through the beginning of quarantine since online classes were always a nightmare. The main skill I learned was how to embroider flowers. I had to google a lot of tutorials for this and learned a new skill from it. I had already learned how to sew but not to embroider and it is actually not as similar as I thought it would have been. Nonetheless, I am happy with the outcome of these jeans and will be wearing them when quarantine ends.
