MY JOURNEY

I was born in Lima, Peru. More specifically, in a small hospital in Miraflores. A few months after I was born my family moved to Huaraz, which is also here in Peru. I lived there for three years until my dad got offered a job in Chile and I moved to a different country for the first time. I don't remember much from Chile, I remember being very happy there. I had lots of friends, I went to a good school called Nido, and I lived in a cute little neighborhood. The school is one of the many international schools that connect to my current school, FDR. It’s really big and for some reason one of the clearest things I remember was pizza hut coming every Friday for lunch. Food always came first, still does. Anyway, after living in Chile for five years, we moved to Canada. We spent four amazing years there but we missed living in South America when we were at -30 degrees outside during winter. My sister did fine though, she was the one that had the most trouble leaving Canada. I guess it’s because she basically grew up there. We did make a lot of really important memories there though. I went to my first concert, we got my dog, Mika who since then has basically become my parent’s third daughter, I got to experience a snow day, and much, much more. I went to a small Catholic school but I didn't make that many friends while I was there. I discovered my love for sports though, everyone there is really competitive. I also picked up reading, I really loved it. I don't read that much anymore, I don't have that much time for it. Oh and the most important part, I discovered that laser tag is awesome. I was sad when I realized they don’t have it here. I moved here about 3 years ago. I’ve never felt more at home than I do here. I guess Peruvians just are that way. I’ve made a lot of friends, I like my school, and I started playing for the volleyball team. It’s near impossible for me to like Peru more. It’s kind of an unpopular opinion amongst my friends but I think it's the people who make it better. Everyone here is just so caring even though at times it may not seem like it. It’s so easy to be comfortable with people you’ve just met. Oh, and of course, you can’t forget the food. Best food in the world by far. But yeah, that’s it. I don’t know where I’ll move next. Maybe I'll go back to Canada to study or to Europe. Only time can tell.
