In the innovation academy we take part of a project called the independent project. In this project we are given the liberty of choosing something that we want to work on for the entire semester. I chose to design knee-pads for volleyball. I created several different designs and researched on how to improve them through 5 prototypes. I was then able to send my final designs to be fabricated. The purpose of my project was to create an effective knee-pad that protects the knee during games/practices, fits the average knee (large audience), and looks good. My plan afterward was to then pitch the product to an existing company and make ads for the product.
